About the opportunity
Due to expansion in its European based business, Nova Systems has an exciting opportunity for permanent Portfolio, Programme, Project (P3M) Professional to join their European Operations team, working on site with clients both in the UK and Northern Europe, but with an initial focus on the South of England.  The successful candidate(s) will be confident working in both the UK and Northern Europe on client sites, participating in programme/project management and business transformation, alongside broader aerospace systems consultant activities. You will have recent industry experience within a Government, Transport, Aerospace, Engineering or similar sectors within P3M leadership and delivery, with a recognised P3M qualification.

What you’ll actually do 
You’ll be involved in many aspects of P3M and consultant activities, with particular responsibilities in;
  • Leadership and direction of P3M delivery
  • Delivering P3M in a structured and planned way against a defined methodology
  • Delivering outcome-focussed projects and programmes using various management techniques in Organisational Governance, Benefits, RAIDO, Stakeholders & Comms, Management Information & Reporting, Finance, and Resources
  • Development of Investment Decision Business Cases at all stages of the Project/Programme Lifecycle
  • Managing multiple stakeholders and customers on complex issues including the delivery of strategy or large-scale change.
What you’ll need
  • Eligibility to work in the UK and Europe
  • Current / eligible for a UK Government Security Clearance or Security Services clearance
  • At least 5 years’ experience working in P3M delivery
  • Industry experience in Government, , Aerospace, Engineering or similar sector
  • At least one of the following qualifications: APMPQ, Prince 2, Certificate or Diploma in Project and Programme Management (DPPM), Managing Successful Programmes (MSP), Management of Portfolios (MoP)
  • Ability to work with a wide range of people
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritise workloads
  • High level of written and verbal communication skills
  • Ideally degree qualified with relevant consultant and/or industry experience
